Recently the coaling, of steamers has been hampered owing to the members of the Coal-Lumpers' Union declining to work on ■ Saturday afternoons. , The steam collier owners and the Coal Stevedore-' Association applied .to the Arbitration Court to amend the award so as to require lumpers to work whenevei requiied excepting between midnight on 'Saturday and midnight on Sunday ; al«o that employers be relieved from the obligation of employing unionists.
