COLLIERY EXPLOSION. SIX LIVES LOST. United 'Press Association—Per Electric i Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, March 7. An explosion at Genwenv colliery entombed four men.. Firedamp killed two men, who went to the rescue of the entombed miners. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, March 8. A sad drowning accident occurred this afternoon. The children of the Upokongaro school, with their parents and friends, Tvent up tlie livev to Ivaraayhaike for a picnic, and a> boy got out of his depth, and Mrs C. F.' Gie-son and Miss Ka.te Campbell lost their lives, in trying to rescue him. Their bodies have been recovered. The boy -was saved.
