REINSTATEMENT DECLINED. United Press Association—l'er Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, February 8. Noble has written to the Cricket Association declining to apply for removal of disqualification. He says that he is disinclined to be further misrepresented or made, a - target for studied humiliation; and he thinks ii is high- time that the Association ghowed some spontaneous consideration. A day or two ago we published a cable message, which, briefly put, was. to the effect that Messrs Noble, Cotter, Victor Trumper. and others, who had been "disqualified "-Vißsi year,' would be reinstated if they made a personal application to the New "South "Wules Association. The incidents leading up to the disqualification of. prominent New South Wales' cricketers, marked the close 'of last year, and led to a controversy which was noted for extreme bitterness. However, when all matters had been threshed out. ending in what was practically a united board of cricket for Ans'ralia, it was thought that no more would -be heard of it. The stand taken by - Noble will be watched very closely; -if Trumper, Cotter, Hopkins. and a few others follow has lead, cricket may tc:e've a severe set-back. THE M.C.C. "Y.
