BUBONIC PLAGUE.
A SERIOUS OUTBREAK,
United Press Association—Pet Electric Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, June 30. There is a serious outbreak of plague at Balmain. Two deaths of husband and •wife has occurred from "primary plague pneumonia in its most contagious form. Only the strictest isolation will prevent its 'spread. The nurse of the patient is now suffering from a suspicious illness. The health authorities say that the disease is at least as contagious as smallpox with this added, that in this form the disease is very much more to be dreaded. The manner an which, it spreads, 'namely, by contagion, |makes'it mere easily' checked. ! The apparent sense of illness is slight, and I death comes unexpectedly.
