CAIN'S TERRACE ROOMS. ; Mr Moss Jonas report* as follows for the week ended, 23rd inat.:—Potatoes are selling at ITs to 20s per sack" with a good demand. Oats are bringing 8s to 9s per sack; wheat (whole) 10s 6d to 12s, fbrokea) 8s to 10* pet bag; swedes 25r 6d to 3s; onion* Id par lb. On Friday I held a clearing sale at Sergeant-Major Jones residence. There was a very targe attendance of buyers and everything sold well. On Saturday .there was a good entry of poultry and prices were as follows per pair:—Roosters 3s to 3s 6cf, hens 2» to. 3», ducks 3» 3d, 3s 6d, 4». In the afternoon I auctioned a large number of oilskins, knives, forks, and spoons. "I also sold 20 half chests of tea at a satisfactory figure. Throughout the week I disposed of a'large quantity of furniture and produce at fair prices. Next Wednesday the naraal fortnightly sale of wool, skins, and fat will be held. On Thursday the 2Sth, T will sell the furniture and effect* at Nurse Liry'a private hospital "Ettrtck Back." I wish to draw special attention to this sale as everything is in splendid condition.
