HELPING THE SUFFERERS.
A movement is on, foot to assist the victims of the fire which.occurred in Sandietown. early yesterday, morning- Mr Flat,...who.occupied? the destroyed cottage, has ar. wife and.six. children, .ancLthe family lost everything' in- the- Their case, is one -which should'appeal- to every kindly/'heart;', and we have much pleasure in acceding, to the request that we should acknowledge donations ■'■ in. money or kind that may be given for their relief in their time of trouble. In addition to the above, the Convent and the Chalmers • Church Dorcas Society have sent donations of clothing, and the South Canterbury Woollen Mills two pairs of blankets. If desired,- donations may be left at the office of this paper.
