There was only a small attendance at the National Mortgage and Agency Company's sale rooms on Saturday afternoon, a couple of properties were offered. At this iignre the lot was passed to Mr F. Lamb. The reserve was announced' to be £450. Tie second lot was a half-acre section in Dee street, a six-roomed house, offered on account of Mr P. W. CAIN'S TERACE AUCTION ROOMS, Mr Moss Jonas reports as follows: Business during the past week has l been, de.cidedly brisk, and. there has been a good •demand for furniture of all kinds and the clearing- which I held this week .showed a great improvement to those held previously. There has aJso been a better ■demand' for fowls, wheat, and potatoes, ■while fowls have improved a little in jrice. On Tuesday I held a clearing sale *f household furniture at the reoidea-je. <•'.
