CAROLINE BAY.
To the Editor of the " Timaru Herald." Sir,—One cauuot help being struck by i the wonderful improvements of Caroline Bay. but there is one suggestion I would like to make. There is a comer which is a regular man trap, or at ''east I should say a woman trap, for I saw ro fewer than seven go headlong into three feet of water, within twenty minutes. It seemed quite a laughing matter, but I am thinking when the parties most concerned saw their dresses in morning, they would rever go there any more. Perhaps you will know where I mean. When we have a higher tide than usual, it leaves a washout in the old baths, which, at night, it is a'most impossible to see. I think something ought to be done to it. and I am sure of at least seven persons who will bear me out is that. I am. etc., ' A SPECTATOR.
