CLUB MEMBER EXPELLED. A WAR CONTRIBUTION. United Press Association—Per Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, February 22. The Constitutional Club has expelled Lord Balfour of Burleigh for advising the Radicals to vote for the Freetrade candidate for Chelsea. In the House of Commons Mr Winston Churchill, Under-Secretary for the Colonial Office, stated that the Government were by no means prepared to regard the Transvaal's undertaking to make a war contribution of £50,000,000 as an obligation to be lightly set aside. Several supporters of retaliation have joined the freefooders' group.
