There was no racing of tb*- propellers, and bo perceptible vibration, and tbe universal verdict of those who travelled on her wan that tbe ship wa* a thorough «uccenn, steady and comfortable even ia the worst of weather. A* tbe passengers were anxious to reach their deutina.tionH on Christmas Day, tbe Cunard Company •despatched fire special trams, two to London. one to Scotland, one to Hull, and another to Holyhead with the Irb>h pwwenger*. as the bad weather had prevented the Carmania from calling at Qoeecsl*>wn. Tlip general praise of the Carmania by her jpaswagers in proof that the enterprise of the Canard Company in arriving tbe turbine principle to this 20,000 ton steamer i» amply juttified.
