FOOTBALL.
A UNION SCRUMMAGE. Per Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, February 13. At a meeting of the committee of the Canterbury branch of the N«w Zealand Rugby Union to-night the matter of the suspension of the Union by the New Zealand Union for non-payment of a disputed amount of £4 6s was discussed. The committee resolved to decline, to pay the amount and that the Canterbury representatives in the- New Zealand team should be notified on their arrival at Auckland that as the branch was suspended they had become disqualified players. It was also resolved to bring the* matter before the Engb'sh Rugby Union.
