Sir, —Unfortunately, owing to damp weather, I -was "unable to he at the meeting last night, relative to the suggested hotel. Had 1 been so, I should have strenuously opposed the site chosen. In the first piace, its aspect is confined to the north-east, its'price is sufficient, its area is ridiculously, small (§ acre). I should have preferred the meetingi ventilating the respective sites offered, then adjourn for say a week,. and :let the outside public, who are asked to find the money, choose the ; most, suitable. I understand that, there was another , section, which was kept quiet, .offered by Mr Howley, about a. hundred yards further . north, with only a road between itand the beach, with a"n and with more - thaii double the. quantity oMand, -at a less figur4, : and' with no trees to climb see' riuf-beautiful scenerv.
