CLAIM FOR MONEY LENT.

AUCKLAND, February 7. Mr Kettle, S.M., gave his decision at (be Magistrate's Court this morning- in the case of Joseph Ehrman versus Frauds E. It. T. Peacock in which complainant claimed £22 10s for money lent to defendant.
His Worship said:—"For this case a fraud was committed or» the Licensing Committee, which issued a wholesale license to Peacock, believing him to be a, bona-Sde applicant. The evidence shows that be had do interest in tbe license, and that lie deceived the "Licensing Committee being in truth and in fact a dummy. Ehrman knew that he could sot obtain a license, having previously refused-.pne. The is steeped in fraud.
