A tornado at Albany, Georgia, killed several persons and injured many others. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, January 4. At Waitoa on Christmas Day a married woman named Ada Laura Fisher was cooking the Christmas dinner outside the house when her clothing caught fire. "The woman's screams were heard by her husband, who quickly extinguished the flames, but the woman was so severely burnt that- she succumbed. | WELLINGTON, January 4. Lady McClure, widow of the late Sir Thomas McClure, Arho arrived in New Zealand by the Warrimoo on Wednesday, intending to join the Waikare on a cruise to the sounds, died suddenly-this afternoon. GREYMOUTH, January 4. William Woods, 65 years of age, was found dead iu an outbuilding at Totara Flat to-day. An empty bottle of painkiller, smelling of laudanum, was found alongside the body. *
