J. F. Lnblow, at ALBUB3T STOCK SALE. .At the monthly stock sale at Albnrv yesterday, ther» were about 5000 sheep yarded, cmefly of and ewes and backward lambs, and about 120 cattle. There was a fair avenge attendance. Competition was generally' weak, especially for aged and inferior stock, for which there was practicaDyno demand, and prices obtained for Enes sold were lower than at last sales. The following are qnotationa of sales effect-ed:—2-tooth ewes 20# 6d, 2, 4 and 6-tooths 21a 6d, 22s 7d, 6 and 8-tooths 15a and 15s U, dd ewes 10s, fat da 13b Id, good fat and forward lambs 15s 3d to 17s sd, strong do. 12» sd, to 13s 2d, weedy lambs 9t sd. Sr 6d, 10b, lis, store wethers halfbred 16s 3d, 16a 4d, good forward wether* 18a, 550 do. halfbred 16« 4d, merino wethers 17s 4d, merino- ewes 9k. Grttle—There was practically no demand. A few empty cows were sold at £4 10s, and a few yearlings at 30s. - THE HOME MARKETS. - The Department of Industries and Commerce has received the foUojring cable message from the Agent-General dated Lon : den, 29th nit.:—"The mutton market.is quiet, but there is a fair demand for the better grades; Canterbury nmtton 4£d per lb, North .Island mutton 4d per lb.
