ANCIENT ORDER OF FORESTERS.
Per Press Association.. INVERCARGILL, March 23. The Ancient Order of Foresters' District Conference is being held here, 20 out of 26 courts being represented. The report stated that there had been an increase in the number by 135 as against 37 in the previous year. "The .district fund had increased by £778 against £745 last year. The net revenue 'had been £39,034 and district fund -£13,127, total £52,161, an increase of £1045; sick pay £2674. It was resolved to erect a memorial tablet to the late Bro. j Woodland in Dunedin. The amount allowed for the P.D.C.R.'s services, was increased to five guineas.- ' It was resolved to take steps to frame a constitution for the juvenile courts. Court Robin' Hood, Port •.Chalmers, was granted a Igan of £2OO free of' interest ;to. liquidate the debt on the hall. The "election"'of district officers resulted -as follows-.D r C.R., A. Walker; D.S.C.R., T. B. Wilson; D.• Ttreasurer, J., flooper-;,-D. Secretary, "J. Macfie; D.8., W. Palmer; D. Trustee, H: Spears;; D. Auditor, A, .Swanson. It was resolved hold the" next annual meeting at Rox- : burgh. To-morrow the new rules will be considered.
