The wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom amount to 2,845,000 quarters, and for the Continent to 1,705,000 quarters. ,The Atlantic shipments for the week total 8000 quarters, and the Pacific shipments 50.000 quarters. ' At the tallow-auctions, 1561 casks were offered and. 76 sold at a, decline of 6d.
Received 10.45 p.m., October 20th.- ■■ : SYDNEY, October 20. At the Homebush sales sheep were in strong demand. Only a few odd lots of crossbred■■ wethers- came forward. Shorn wethers sold at 16s sd, and ewes at 14s. Cattle were firm; best bullocks £lO, good £9 ss, best cows £7 6s, good £6.TOs.
MELBOURNE, October 20. For tallow the demand is dull, and the quotations ruling are from 10s to 15s per ton lower. .
For hides the demand is brisk; prices are unchanged.•
