THE CHAMPION TOURNEY. * Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 15. The championship draughts tournament was continued to-day. Gardiner has .so far not lost a single game, and his score is 15 points for 18 games, six having been drawn, and there appears little doubt that he will again secure the championship. Lucas, with 174 points for 22 games, is second up to the present, and Helleher, with 17 points for 24 games, is third. The present position of players is as follows : Gardiner, games plaved 18, points 15; Lucas, 22 and 17J ; Helleher, 24 and 17; Brodie, 24 and 15: J. N. Thomson, 26 and 15; Boswell, 20 and 14; Boreham, 22 and 14; Scott, 22 and 14; Crook, 24 and 13: Fleming, 22 and 10$; Bruce, 20 and 94; Beck. 28 and 9: J. Thomson, 28 and 7; Bell, 28 and 54; 28 and 2. Four of the players have concluded all their games.
