Per Prwia Association. , . WANGANUI, April 15. The annual meeting of the Wanganni Agricultural Association was held to-day. The report and balance-sheet showed that th« association wae in a sound position. Mr J. H. Nixon was elacted president. Considerable exception was taken at Palmerstos North fixing its show dates on the dates of the Wanganni Show last year. It was resolved that in the event of Palmerston North adhering to its dates, the Wanganni Show be hetd during the week previous. It was the unanimous feeling that the Wanganni Society was now in so sound a position that it should not be dictated to or have its claims jumped. . The Good T«mp!ars* Grand Lodge continued its sittings to-day, and transacted routine business.

NAPIER, April 15. The Borough Council a: their meeting this evening voted the Mavof nn honorarium of £2OO. It was decided to take a plebiscite of the ratepayers on the 29th inst.. when the municipal elections will be held, on the question of the municipaiisation of the gasworks, and the purcnas* of the present company's plant.

WELLINGTON, April 15. Dr Grace. M.L.C., who has been ill some months, underwent a surgical operation this afternoon.
