• - Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. February 20. The trial of William .Henry Essex, on charges in connection with the Waihi slimes case, concluded to-day. The jury, after more than one hour's deliberation, returned a verdict of guilty. Accused was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment. WELLINGTON. February 20. In the Divorce Court to-day, a decree nisi was granted in re George Manning v. Margaret Manning.
