The s.s. Pareora is due from Greymouth via Oamaru to-day, with about ISO tons of coal. The s.s. Jar.et Nicoll -will load produce here on Friday for Lyttelton, Wellington and the West Coast. The schooner Lizzie Taylor lands 46,000 feet cf timber and she started unloading at the Moody wharf yesterday morning. Mr John Mee expects the La Bella to arrive from Newcastle with coal about the Bth October. Orders for delivery ex ship are now being booked. The s.s. Corinna will leave Dunedin tomorrow for Timaru direct and will load here on Thursday for Wellington, Westport and Greymouth. The barquentine Rio commenced taking in produce yesterday morning. She loads 400 tons of produce for Napier on account of the Timaru Milling Company and is expected to have it shipped by Wednesday night.
