CROQUET.
A very interesting match was played yesterday afternoon between the LeCren street Croquet Club and the croquet- players of the Timaru Tennis Club. The play took place on the courts of the former club, and resulted in favour of the home team by 30 points. Mrs S. G. Raymond and the ladies of the Croquet Club provided tea, and exerted themselves to the utmost to make the afternoon a most enjoyable one for players and visitors.
