Subject to any necessary alterations, mails will close as under. Thursday, January 23rd. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Rotomahana, at p.m. Friday, January 24th. For the Australian States (via Wellington, and Northern Ports of New Zealand), per Talune, at 6 a.m. Saturday, January 25th. For the United Kingdom and Europe (specially addressed via Suez), South Africa, Ceylon, India, China, etc., and Australian States (via Bluff), per Monowai, at 2.30 p.m.; due in London March Bth. Wednesday, January 29th. For the United Kingdom and Europe, United States of America and Canada (via San Francisco, Hawaii, Samoa, and Northen*Ports of New Zealand), per Sonoma, as follows :—Money orders, registered letters, book packets, and newspapers, at 3.30 p.m.; ordinary letters at 4 p.m. ; ! late fee letters at C.P.O. until 4.45 p.m., and' at mail van north express until 5.7 p.m.; due in London March Ist. The nest best despatch for United Kingdom correspondence is by the San Francisco route, mail closing at Timaru on January 29th; due in London February 29th. , T .
