The revolutionary vessels Padilla, Darien and Gaitau attempted to force a landing at Sabina, Panama Bay, but the Colotii I: i ii- Government vessels Liintiiift and Cliicvato, assisted by guns from Lasboveda, resisted. The Padilla attacked tlie Lantara at close quarters burning and sinking her after the crew had deserted. The superintendent of the raihvay has cabled to New York tlwit three insurgent and two government vessels had been Mink and the Governor o£ Alban killed during the engagement.
