A return issued by the Department of Agriculture shows the escorts of. dairy produce and meat during April to have been as follows I :—Butter, 14,238cwt., value £63,958; cheese, 9525ewt., £21,295; frozen beef,-17,519cwt.-, r £19,107; mutton, 75,770cwfc, ■; £86,564;. mutton legs and -pieces, 4357cwt i ; - £4765 •; lamb, 96,346 cwt., £150~893f Butter akd lamb both show an increase on the exports for April, 1900.
