ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

DUNEDIN, January 4. John C. Gavan died suddenly at Kaikorai Valley. He and a man with whom he lived had been enjoying themselves freely on Thursday night, and went to sleep in the same bed. In the morning Gavan's mate woke up and found him dead alongside. He reported the matter to the police. An inquest will be held.
