' Mesara Guinness and LeCren (per Mr A. H. Bourn, auctioneer) report, that at their "Waimate salerooms on Saturday they offered and sold properties of 16 acres close to Waiinate, on account of Mr E. S. Allen, of Sydney, and 22 acres at the Hook on account of the executors of the late Edward Burke. The former starting at ,£ls per acre, was sold to Messrs Hawkins Bros, at .£l6 5s per acre, and the latter to Mr P. Greelise, of Makikihi. . The Farmers' Exchange Company report on last Saturday's sale as follows : — Poultry, prime roosters 33 3d to 33 9d, half -grown 2s, .•hens 2s to 2s 3d, good ducks 2s to 3s 6d, duoklinga 2s 3d to 2s 9d per pair, geese 2s each. Pigs, 10s, 11s 6d, 18a 6d, 20s. Potatoes, market fully supplied, 2s Sd to 3s. Whole fowl wheat 7s, broken 6s 6d, oats 7s 9d per sack, all 3acka in. Eggs, lOd per doz. Tea, 7s to 9a per 51b tin. Cheese, 5d to 5Jd per lb. The Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Association, limited (per Mr J. Mundell, auctioneer), report on the horse and cattle market at Tattorsall's yards on Saturday, as follows :— Our entries comprised 36 horses, farm implements, and harness. There was a largo, attendance of buyers from all parts of the district present during the sale. The demand for good sorts of farm horses far exceeds the supply, and we can recommend sellers to consign to this market in order to. secure satisfactory returns. Our quotations are : — Draughts, young, with trials. .£25, 10s, ,£3O, .£32 10s to .£36 ; do light and aged, .£l2 los to .£l4 ; light harness sorts, £9 10s, .£l2 to * £16 ; hackneys, ,£6 10s, £7 to .£lO. Mr Guinness, for Messrs Guinness and Le©ren, offered at auction on Saturday, the unsold portion of the Eskbank estate, near St. Andrews. The sale was by order of the Asseta Realisation Board, and Mr Guinness haying read the conditions of sale and answered several questions, offered the estate as a whole, 17(58 acres, at an upset of ,£6 12a 6d per acre. There was no offer, and the land was then put up in lota. Lot 13, 464 acres, the homestead block, started at £6 10s and was passed at £T. Lot 14, 300 acres, close to St. Andrews, started at J>4, and by 10a bids rose to .£5 10s, when Mr A. S. Bruce became the purchaser. For lota 21, 315 acres, and 10, 409 acres, and 9, 277 acres, there were no offers. Mr Guinness said that as there were enquiries for the land, he would be happy to treat with intending purchasers privately. . *
