WELLINGTON, March 24. The railway employees have closed their Patriotic Fund with £2100. Of this £1000 was sent to the Lord Mayor of London, £700 was given in various More Men Funds, and the balance will be retained on trust for disabled soldiers oi relatives. The Contingent presented Mrs Brougn at a farewell performance last night with a gold bangle, and her husband and hei jointly with an address, in recognitior of the practical patriotism they had dis played. The native carnival at rapawa pro dnced about £500.
