The c.ise will be resumed to-morrow. INVERCARGILL, June 14. James Stewart was acquitted on the charge of rapa on a girl under 15 years of , age, the defence being consent. Mr Justice Denniston spoke strongly against the police questioning accused persons after they were charged with offences. Statements may be taken, but persons should not be interrogated.
