Both cargoes are in iron Bailing ships, and are expected to arrive in January. i Melbourne, January 3. Preparations are being made for handling the expected large surplus of wheat. .Received January 3rd, 11 p.m. The Argus in its trade review says the pear was marked from beginning to end with gradual improvement ; and that monetary conditions generally were on a sound basis. When the conference of Ministers of Agriculture takes place this month the Minister proposes to arrange a trial of Gibson's (New Zealand) process of brand* ng cattle.
