CORRESPONDENCE.

i THE WAITAKI PRESBYTERIAN CHARGE. i TO THE EDITOR OF THE TIMARU HERALD. ! Sir,— l am sorry to see m to-day's issue of your paper a note from some one interested m the VVaitaki charge. The writer is evidently unacquainted with Presbyterian procedure. He is wrong m thinking that the wish of the people has been ignored. I think, however, that neither you nor the public at large, nor the Waitaki people generally, would wish the affairs of that district dragged into the public print. If the author of the note referred to will communicale with me directly, and sign, his name,' I ''will' be'liappy "to write and explain matters to the extent of sheets of foolscap if necessary. Or if, as the result of misunderstanding, a number of people m the district are feeling aggrieved at the action of the Session and Presbytery, I will be only too pleased to hold a con gregational meeting, oh some week-night, at some central place m the district and explain all matters under discussion. In such case I would ask all interested to. attend wet or dry, so that matters might be settled once for all. I refuse, m what I consider the best interests of the district, to enter into particulars m the public print. I only trust that all aggrieved ones have the best interests of the district as much at heart as I have. ■■•-■-•■■■' ■■■-'■• ••-- •■-'••.—•■-■■■-••■-••■■••■■.■-•':• ■■'■■ I am, &c, Robt.
