Mails for above services will be announced at Timaru Post Office as connecting steamers ofrer. Mails for Norfolk Island, per Southern Cross, close at Auckland on 31st inst. Mails for Fiji, per Richmond* will close at Auckland on 30th inst. The next direct mail for the United Kingdom and Europe, will leave Wellington, per Gothic, on Ist April ; due m London on 12th May. Mails for Chatham Islands close at Lyttelton, per Kahu, on Ist April, at 8 p.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom {via San Francisco), closes at Timaru on 14th April ; due m London 19th May. Mails for Fiji, Hawaiian Islands, Victoria (8.C.), Vancouver, Canada, and United States (connecting with Miowera leaving Sydney 10th April), will close at Auckland on sth April, at 4.30 p.m. Correspondence to be specially addressed per Miowera. Mails for Noumea leave Sydney on Bth April. Bobt, Kaye, Acting Chief Postmaster, Chief Post office, Timaru, March 31st, 1897.
