. ♦ (By Telegraph.) WELLINGTON, March 29. The English Rugby Union decided that the try claimed by Otago m the la»t match against Canterbury must be allowed, as the ball was " toucheddown" by one of their players m Canterbury's "m goal." The referee gave no decision before that occurred, and further that nothing had happened to necessitate his giving one. This decision reverses that of the New Zealand Appeal Committee, and Otago therefore wins the match,
