(By Telegbaph.l AUCKLAND, March 5. There are thirty cases on the calendar for trial at the criminal sittings of the Supreme Court. Two middle-aged women, named Louisa Bischoff and May Walkopsky, were charged at the Police Court .with having stolen, at Wellington, a watch and other effects, and £100 cash, the property of August Schultz. They were remanded to Wellington. Edwin J. Low, a young man, appeared to anßwer two charges of having, as mine manager to the Cadman Gold Mining Company, at Coromandel, stolen £2 8s and £3 12s, the property of the company. Mr Besley appeared for the company, and asked for a remand. He said that other charges were pending against the prisoner ; moreover the company had reason to believe that he intended leaving the colony. He had drawn his account from the Savings bank on the previous day, and had £17 upon him when arrested. The Bench allowed bail, and remanded prisoner till Monday. William Carlson and Charles W. H. White, on remand m the Te Kuti stabbing case, were again remanded for eight days. Since the last remand the injured man, Kenneth Bayne, had got worse, and it was not known whether he would ever come out of the hospital. A telegram from the Hazleton Hospital authorities was produced, stating thatj Bayne had taken a relapse.

To-night the Industrial Association made a new rule permitting the establishment of a ladies' or other section for assisting and advising the association. It was decided to ask the Government to forward all information m its possession relative to the manufacture of beet-root sugar. The association passed a resolution approving of the efforts of flax millers to re-establish thetrade, urging the Government to increase, the grant already made so as to enable the scope Of the proposed inquiry into the fibre markets to be as comprehensive as possible. The sum of £10 was voted as a contribution towards the. flax-millers' undertaking.
