Vta Brindisi Aug. 27th October 2nd Naples Sept. 3rd „ 9th „ Brindisi „ 10th | „ 15th „ Naples „ 17th | „ 23rd Mails for above services will be announced at Timaru Post Office as connecting steamers offer. Mails close at Sydney for Noumea on 7th inst. The next direct mail for the United Kingdom, per Tainui, leaves the the colony 22nd inst. ; due London Oct. 2nd. lime of closing at Timaru will be given m future notice. The next German mail packet leaves Melbourne 20th instant. Due at Berlin 28th Sept. The next French mail packet leaves Melbourne 31st inst. Due at Marseilles Oct. 2nd. The Upolu will leave Auckland for Fiji on 15th inst. Mails for Cromarty and Puyscgur Point close at Invercargill on Thursday, Bth inst., at 1 p.m. R. J. Goodman, Chief Postmaster.
