■ % „ '^. (BY TELEGRAPH.) DUNEDIN, January 18. The Masonic quarterly communication was largely attended. The receipts were £1235, and disbursements £1190. The Board of Benevolence disbursed £56 m grants to lodges, and £340 to other constitutions, and the benevolent fund stands at £791, widows and orphans fund at £107. The Board of Purposes report was adopted, together with expressions of opinion m favour of a movable Grand Lodge and an annual meeting of lodge representatives. Bro. Bell was renorainated for Grand Master. Bro. Curtain was appointed Deputy. At the banquet Bro. Bell said that short of surrender they were prepared to go a long way towards evidencing the feelings which animated them m bringing about friendly feelings, but they stopped at the point indicated. They would surrender no right, and would religiously safeguard the interests of the lodges under their jurisdiction. Ab this Grand Lodge was within their rights m what they had so far done, he did not believe their offer conld be longrejected.
