TEMUKA ATHLETIC CLUB.

The annual general meeting of members of the Temuka Athletic Club was held at the Wallingford Hotel, Temuka, on Friday. There was a good attendance, and Mr D. Henry, president of the club, occupied the chair. The balance-sheet showed that the total receipts were £126 10s, and the expenditure £116 17s, leaving a credit balance of £8 13s. The following were the principal items — Receipts : Members, £15 10s ; donations, £7 17s ; sub; scriptions, £7 17s 6d ; privileges, £9 7s 3d , entiy money, £23 4s ; gate receipts£3B 2s 3d ; proceeds of ball, £6 10s. Expenditure : Prize money, £70 8s ; scouts, etc., £3 14s ; band, £5 ; advertising, £7 Is9d; incidental expenses made, up the balance. After the balance sheet. had been adopted, votes of thanks were unanimously passed to the retiring officers. Mr D. Henry was unanimously reelected the president of the club, and the following as directors :— Messrs M, Scannell, T. Gunnion, D. McCaskill, J. A. McCaskill, J. Beri, G. Phillips, A. Bissett, A. Clinch, E. Carr, J. Maze, and K.Rothwell. Messrs Scannell and Rothwell were elected vice-presidents. Mr Scannell, as as an old vice-president, returned thanks for the honour. The club's able secretary Mr A. S. Jenkins being about to leave Temuka, Mr D. McCaskill was elected secretary, and Mr M. Scannell treasurer. After the general meeting, the directors met and disposed of some routine business.
