DETERMINED SUICIDE.
(By Telegraph.) GREYTOWN NORTH, January 12. Nuggie, a daughter of Mr Mason, of Kaiwaiwai, was spending a holiday at Martiuborough, and le.£t a letter saying that she had committed suicide, indicating where her body was to be found. Investigation showed that she had tied a rope to a flax bush and round her neck, and then jumped into the Ruamahungn river under the Waihenga Bridge, thereby both drowning and hanging herself. When found this morning she was dead, and showed signs of having struggled furiously and suffered terrible agony. No ground for the aot is known.
