TIMARU CRICKET CLUB

♦ The annual general meeting of the above lab was held is tho Ship Hotel on Friday, the following members being present— Messrs 8 G Raymond (in the chair),' Turabull. 0 Wood, Jefferson, Ghisholm, Bice, A Bourn, 3 and E Junes, Balfour, fiaesell, Buchanan Jonas, MoGuinneßS, Wioksteed, andDrsOox and Thome?, | The balance sheet (honing BBeets £10, a"d liabilities nil, wag read and adoptid, and Mr Turnbnll, the treasurer, was oompliiututed by the members on being able to show that the club was in suoh a satisfactory finaoc ul position. The following new members were then eleoted » - Meisrs Hart, Young, Hull, Curtis, Philp, Bapgey, Fergusion, Oar^ill and O'Callaghan. The election of officers for the ensuing year reiulted as follows : —President, If DA Bristol ; rioe-presidenti, Messrs Win t indaay and O'Callaghan ; oaptain* Mr 0 A Jefferson; Tioe-oaptain, Mr G- Jonea 5 seorefary, Mr 0 K Haisell ; treasurer, Mr A Bourn ; general eemmittee, Messrs Tarcbnll, Wioksteed, 0 Wood, d Wood, 8 Gr Baymond, and Dr Coz ; selection committee, Messrs 0 A Jefferson, G- Jones and Wioksteed ; delegate to tbo South Canterbury Oriokefc Association, Mr 0 S Fraaer. One very noticeable feature about the meeting was the absence of several members of the club who have pret touely been regular attendants at these meetings, domq of these have left the district, but it is sincere^ to be hoped that those who are still her* will I continue to keep up their interest in the game* A very hearty vote of thanks wai aocordtd

to Mrs Lindsay and other ladies who so kindly intsrtsted themselves in providine tea and assisting in carrying out the ball arrangements. The members present evinoed tho utmost) enthusiasm throughout the meetitg, wliioh was term'nitcd with votes of thanks to the retiring officers and the chairman.
