Timaru Herald Office, THE MARKETS. The Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative association, Limited, report as follows for the week ending Friday, September 28th, 1894 :— Since our last report business has been very quiet m both wheat and oats. Wheat is very dull, owing to buyers being oareless to operate at the prices asked by the owners. Business, however, can be done at the quotations below, both m wheat and oats, provided the ownera will accept, which they are very reluctant to do. Quotations are as follows : — Wheat— Velvet and tusoan (old orop) 2s 6d, red chaff 2s sd ; velvet and tuscan (new crop) 2s 4d to 2s sd, red chaff 2s 3d to 2s 4d, fowl wheat 2s 3£d to 2s 4Jd, small lots, f.o-b. Oata— Prime milling Canadians Is 4d to Is 6d, short feed Is 43 to Is sd, Danish le 2Jd to Is 3}d, good Is 4d, tartars Is 5d to Is 7d, duns Is 7d to la 7£d, f.o.b. sacks 4Jd. Barley— Chevalier, dressed for aeed, 3s 9d to 4s. Potatoes— 22a 6d to 255, Backs m; f.o.b.
