They alto entered a protest againit the Govern meet dropping the Eight Hours Bill. DUNBDIN, Brptbmbbb 28. The Worker's Politioal Committee have paaeed resolution! expressing sympathy with the workers m Queensland, especially with the Labour members expelled from Parlia» ment ; urging the Government to establish a State Bank, to provide a general ourrenoy for tbe colony } soliciting the Government to institute a it hour week's work m connection with labour employed instead of putting all henda on full time, as by this means several hundred hands oould be employed, thus considerably relieving the unemployed preisnre ; protesting against tbe right of selecting licensing committees being taken from the people ; depreciating any invitation being sent l>3 members of the Boyal Family who are about to visit Australia, as large sums of money would b» spent m entertaining them which could bs more advantageously used m assisting the unemployed. The Knights of Labour call on the Premie! to move m the direotion of limiting the hours of railway hands to 40 hours per week, so that some of the surplus labour of the oolony may be absorbed by the railways when they revert to the State,
