The next French mail packet leaves Melbourne 30th inst., arriving at Marseilles 3rd November. The next mail for Capetown leaves Melbourne "per Thermopylae, about the 30tb inst. The Eioh'nond will leave Auokland for Tahiti and Earotonga on Wednesday, 26th, at 9 am. The next mail for the United Kingdom. Continent of Europe, and America, West Indies, etc. {via San Francisco), will leave Timaru on 3rd October, and will be due m London on 7th November. The next direct mail for the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe and South America, per Aorangi, will leave Wellington on October 4th. Time of closing mail at Timaru will'be Telegraph hours of attendance Timaru :— Week days, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 7 p.m. to Bp.m.; Sundays, sto 5.30 p.m.; holiday, 9to 10 a.m., 7 to 8 p.m. Letter carriers' deliveries:—Delivery begins 9 a.m., 3.30 p.m.; principal streets only, 11.30 a.m.; no afternon delivery on Thursday.
