CRICKET.
CO THB BDHCOB OT THE XIMAEU HERALD. Sis,— At the end of last crioket season it was generally admitted tbat a second club was wanted m Timtru. lam sure it only wants the popular President . of tbe Star Football Club and MrO N Macintosh to take the necetesry stops, and a good olub could be formed from tbn Union, titar^ aod Colonial Football Clubs. There are plenty of young men m the above oluba who would make first olass players if they would only *efc their minds to go m for steady praotioe. If the three clubs mentioned will not form a olub then I hope some cf our Mutual Improvement Societies wil start one, and try and induce some of the young men who spend most of their time iv billiard rooms and other plaoes to joia them. An artiole from your able pen might wake up some of our old players. 1 hope to see an advertisement m your paper before tbe week is out calling a meetiog. I am, etc, Longstop.
