The crushing of ore obtained from one claim at Wyalong has averaged 6|oz gold to the toa. The lower levels m many of the mines are showing an improvement. POLITICAL. Meiboubnb, September 24. The Patterson Government has decided to tender their resignation on the return of Governor Hcpetoun from Sydney. Most of the members of the late Shields Ministry waive their claims to office, but it 1b expected that Messrs A. Deakin, Shields and J. A. Isaacs will be included m the new Ministry. THE AGE LIBEL CASE. The jury m the Speight v. Syme libel action were locked up for the night. MRS NEEDLE ON TRIAL. The trial of Mrs Needle on a charge of murder has begun. So far no new faots have been elicited.
