The chairman of the local camp states that the embittered condition of the men is largely due to the failure to get work, and further outrages are probable. He attributes the loss of the day to disaffection among the Unionists themselves. The Government intend to relieve the distress among the strikers. (Spboial to Pbebs Association.) Received 10.50 a.m., September 21th. Washington, September 23. A thousand negroes are engaged to replaoa the miners on strike at Massilon m Ohio. The miners are arming, and threaten to ahed blood.
