The next mail for the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, and America, West Indios, etc. {via San Franoisoo', will leave Timaru on 3rd Ootober, and will bo due m London on 7th November. The next direct mail for the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe and South America, per Aorangi, will leave Wellington on October 4th. Time of dosing mail at Timaru will be given m future netice. Telegraph hours of attendance Tim&ru :— Week days, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 7 p.m. to Bp.m.; Sundays, sto 5.30 p.m.; holiday, 9 to 10 a.m., 7 to 8 p.m. Letter carriers' deliveries :—Delivery begins a.m., 3.30 p.m.; principal streets only, 11.30 a.m.; no a£ternon delivery on Thursday.
