CHBISTCHURCH CORN EXCHANGE. The following is tb° Christohurch Corn Exchange report for ..13 week ended Friday, September 15th, 1893 :— No improvement or change having fakon place m prices, either " good, bad or indifferent" m the outside wheat market, local transactions are almost nil, and prices are consequently only nominal. Dealings m oats are of a local naturo only, and therefore prices are unchanged. Euquiries for seed barloy have now nearly oomo to an end, and little or no business is taking place. Peaa and beans are exhibiting extreme quietness, and prices are about the same as those last given. Potatoes have not done for holders what they confidently anticipated, prices having weakened instead of hardened, and those holding for a dear market-aro likely to be disappointed. Dealers m grass seed have boon doing a fair amount of business during tho past week. Stocks, however, appear to be sufficient for all requirements. The current quotations for the week are as follows: — Wheat—Tuscan and pearl 2s lid, Hunters' 23 Bd, chick wheat Is Gd to 2s 3d. Oats—Milling 2s 3d, bright feed la lid, ordinary do Is Bd. Barley —Malting (nominal) 4s, feed Is lOd to 2s. Peas—Blue 3s 3d, duns 2s 8d to 3s. Beans—Ba to 3a 6d.| liyegrass—Machine-dressed 3s 6d to 3s 9d, farmers' do 23 Gd to 2s 9d. Cocksfoot (best)—Up to id per lb. Tares—6s to 8s per bushel. Potatoes—Derwents 70s, kidneys 75s to 80s at country stations.
