AT a meeting of Shareholders of the above Association it was unanimously decided to extend operations by increasing tbe Paidup Capital to £50,000 m order to permit the Company to carry on a General Insurance Business instead of being limited as at present to insuring the risks of Shareholders only. The Direotors therefore are prepared to receive applications for new shares m order to briDg the paid-up Capital of tbe Company to £60,000 as required by hw, and m offering these shakos to the Publio they desire to draw attention to the following facts : — 1. That tbe Publio are invited to buy Shares m an established Insurance business, the Company already having ft subscribed Capital of £61,130 divided among 648 Shareholders, and that no premium whatever is charged. 2. The Directors would refer to tbe success of the New Zealand Insurance Companies from an Investment point of view. Figures will show that from the business done by these Companies they have been able, m addition to paying handsome dividends, to bpildj up m the aggregate reserves more than EQUAL TO THE WHOLE OF THB CAPITAL PAID UP BY THEIR SHAREHOLDEUB. Payments on shares will, be as fellows : — Ten shillings per share on application, twenty shillings per share on allotment, twenty shillings per share m ono month. Balance if required by calls of five shilling* per share at intervals of not less than threo months. , Until the required paid-up capital of £50,000 is subscribed, the Directors will be prepared to receive applications from present Shareholders or euoh applicants as wish to pay up shares m full. Applications will be considered and shares allotted at a epeoial meeting of Direotors to be held on the Bth November next.
