WELLINGTON, Sept 18

A serious shooting affray took place on Waterloo Quay, near tbe railway wharf, about 10.50 this morning, rnsutting m the death of Charles Glenrose, aged about 37, a Russian Fin, an able seaman belonging to the DoirTs Eokhoff, Danish barque, whioh reoor.tly arrived from New York ; and tho wounding of Donald Macdonald, about 45 yeara r.f age, a Scotchman, second officer of the samo verse. Finley is a Bingle man aged 41, born m Ireland, but claims to be an Amerioan citizen. Scgl is 32 years of Hge, a single man, a German by birth, ond also claims to be an Amorican citizen. Accused will bo charged to-morrow with the wilful murdor of Charles Qreonrose, and a second charge will probably be laid of grievously wounding Donald Macdonald. Mr J. W. Poynton, aolioitor, will appear for the prisoners.
