Clonard did an excellent mile and a half this morning m 2min 44$aec, finishing well, but not better than Knight of the Garter yesterday who compassed the distance m 2min 46aec, The latter has a good outside chance. Correze is looking well. At Caulfield yesterday Groy Gown finished m front *jf Glenloth over a good mile and a half. G'Naroo and Dundas finished together two lengths m advance of Wild Rose, doing the mile and a half m 2min 48seo. Dillon has advanced again to 100 to 12 for the Caulfiold Cup. Carbine is now a slightly better favourite than Malvolio and Vengeanca for the Melbourne Cup at 100 to 10 (taken). Stromboli is second favourite for the Darby at 100 to 20. (Received 10 p.m., Oot. 1-tth.) Strathmore is easier for the V.R.O. Derby, and 2 to 1 is offered against him. Other quotations are 5 to 1 Stroraboli, 6 to 1 Penance, Oxide, Sternchaser, and The Rebel. For the Melbourne Cup, Z&linski is being nibbled at at 100 to 3 to 100 to 4.
For the Caulfield Cup, Bungebah ia quoted at 3 to 1, while 100 to 8 is offered against either Clunard, Dillon, Forest King, or Glenloth. .
